We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at US Foods, Inc.
About the RoleThis position involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, rebuilding, replacing, and completing all required repairs on diesel equipment such as tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc. You will also perform preventative maintenance within company standards, complete documentation of all repair orders, PM list, and parts accountability, handle road service calls, and provide backup support to other maintenance shop personnel.
Requirements- Must have (3) years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic or a combination of both;
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs;
- CDL A and DOT certified, preferred;
- Able to read and communicate in English; and
- Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
This role offers a competitive salary of $28 per hour, which is eligible for overtime compensation. Benefits include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends is essential, and you must be willing to work overtime when needed.
