About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Coordinator to join our team at UnityPoint Health

This position will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with obtaining vital information and preparing patients for examination and treatment
  • Track follow-up appointments and laboratory tests to ensure timely patient care
  • Schedule referrals for patients with specialists or outpatient services as requested by healthcare providers
  • Complete necessary forms and requisitions for referrals and lab testing, including accurate CPT/ICD-9 coding
  • Provide teaching and answer questions for patients and family members
  • Foster relationships between healthcare providers and ancillary services
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses
  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa, Illinois, or Wisconsin
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Certified Medical Assistants through NHA, AAMA, NCT, or AMT
  • High school diploma required if working in a complex CLIA lab
