About the Position

This casual position offers a variable schedule, including daylight, evening, night, and weekend hours. As a Crisis Technician I, you will assist our CRU team in providing exceptional care to our consumers. If you have a high school diploma and prior experience in behavioral health or crisis related fields, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, hygiene, and laundry for our consumers
  • Participate in interdisciplinary activities, including staff meetings, to foster a collaborative environment
  • Provide direct care in walk-in and structured residences using CSSP principles
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques in crisis settings to support our consumers
  • Manage crises with a positive approach, prioritizing the well-being and safety of our consumers
  • Contribute to treatment plans as part of our multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain accurate documentation and required paperwork
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for our consumers
  • Offer supportive counseling using a person-centered, strength-based model
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a B.S. degree is preferred
  • Prior crisis experience is strongly preferred, but not required
  • The ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, exercising good clinical judgment
  • Ability to provide direct total physical care to unpredictable, potentially violent mentally ill residents
  • Flexible schedule, including rotating shifts
  • Ability to transport medications when necessary
Licenses, Certifications, and Clearances
  • Act 31 or Act 126 certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • ASIST Certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire
  • CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire
Estimated Salary Range:

$40,000 - $55,000 per annum
