Job Summary:

The Application Engineer, Manufacturing position at YKK AP America is responsible for creating building material requirement lists for projects and collaborating with customer service representatives to resolve project issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates bill of material (BOM) requirements for material and hardware for order projects.
  • Details order packets by printing/pulling existing drawings.
  • Generates order packet information for production.
  • Provides shop floor support for fabrication or application issues.
  • Corresponds with customer service reps with project issues and provides technical support.
  • Processes change orders on projects for BOM changes.
  • Determines and submits purchased hardware requisitions to the purchasing department.

Requirements:

An Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or AutoCAD-related field, plus 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment using AutoCAD drawings to determine mathematical calculations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
