Job Summary:

The Caregiver role is responsible for providing exceptional care and services to a consistent group of residents and their families in our assisted living and reminiscence neighborhoods.

This role requires building meaningful relationships, providing assistance with activities of daily living, and notifying management of changes in condition.


Responsibilities:

  • Build Meaningful Relationships: Establish strong connections with residents and their families, understanding their unique preferences and personalities.
  • Provide Exceptional Care: Assist with activities of daily living, respond to resident needs, and participate in developing individualized care plans.
  • Notify Management: Communicate changes in resident condition and recommend adjustments in care and services as needed.
  • Assist with Life Skills: Support residents in life-enriching activities, blending multi-sensory experiences into their daily lives.
  • Participate in ISP Development: Contribute to the development and monthly updates of Individualized Service Plans.
  • Resident Safety and Well-being: Ensure resident safety and well-being during shifts, monitoring their whereabouts and physically checking on them as needed.
  • Community Partnership: Collaborate with community teams to maintain compliance with OSHA requirements, promote Risk Management programs, and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Dining Services: Respond to dining needs of residents and guests while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards.

Qualifications:

  • Dedication and Passion: Demonstrate dedication to serving seniors with excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive Attitude: Possess a positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Education and Certifications: High School diploma/GED accepted; may be required per state regulations; must maintain certifications where applicable.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Decision Making: Ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the resident's best interest.
  • Communication Skills: Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
  • Organizational Skills: Competent in organizational and time management skills.
  • Judgment and Problem Solving: Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Selected candidates will receive competitive compensation based on geographic location, skills, experience, qualifications, and certifications/licenses (where applicable).
