Mechanical Engineer Fusion Specialist

To achieve this vision, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Everett, WA. This role will be instrumental in designing and developing hardware for our fusion generator prototypes.
About the Role:You will own and lead multidisciplinary engineering projects, leveraging your expertise in mechanical systems, electromagnetic, structural, fluid, thermal, and control systems to drive innovation and improve subsystem designs. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the development of our fusion technology.
- Design and develop novel hardware solutions within 3D CAD software (e.g. NX, Solidworks). Perform analysis using tools like ANSYS and hold design reviews to gather feedback and iterate to a fully functioning system.
- Work closely with experienced technicians to implement your designs and troubleshoot issues as they arise on integrated fusion generators.
- Collaborate with experts to expand your engineering skillset and domain knowledge.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (mechanical engineering, physics, etc.) and 12+ years of experience or a master's degree and 8+ years of experience.
- Professional experience delivering full-scope engineering projects, including schedule ownership.
- Advanced experience with CAD software, FEA tools, and GD&T.
As a valued member of our team, you can expect:
- A competitive annual base salary: $170,000 - $221,000 USD.
