Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Mid Michigan Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patient calls and schedule urgent/emergent add-ons, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Perform routine pre-examination procedures, including vital signs and patient assessments, to ensure accurate and comprehensive care.
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Prepare and clean patient areas, set up equipment, and dispose of contaminated supplies, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Provide patient education, assist with medication management, and coordinate care with other providers to ensure seamless transitions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical office policies, practices, and procedures, with experience in a physician clinic setting a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle multiple tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and postural changes, with occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. The ability to wear personal protective equipment and follow infection control protocols is essential.
