The Registered Nurse (RN) in our Special Care Unit (SCU) provides high-quality patient care to individuals with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, congestive heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, pneumonia, diabetes, COPD, abdominal surgeries, and minor trauma. Our RNs work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the SCU
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
Provide education to patients and families on disease management, medication, and self-care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment

Requirements

Current RN licensure in the state of practice
BLS certification
1-2 years of experience in a cardiovascular or medical-surgical setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
