Behavioral Health Technician

Valley Hospital Phoenix is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play an integral part in providing patient care, supervision, and interaction to patients. You will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and be responsible for monitoring patient locations, utilizing sound judgment during assessments, and documenting any changes in patient appearance, behavior, or ability to work towards treatment plan goals.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor patient locations per the Observation Policy and Procedure
• Utilize sound judgment during assessments and observe and document any changes in patient appearance, behavior, or ability to work towards treatment plan goals
• Follow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient
• Comply with established policies and procedures requiring a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED, combined with behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Successful completion of (SAMA) including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment
