Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Support Specialist to join our team at Well Care Community Health, Inc.


Job Description

The Clinical Pharmacy Support Specialist will work under the supervision of the Pharmacist in Charge to assist in all areas of pharmacy operations, including prescription preparation, sales transactions, customer service, and inventory maintenance.


Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the stages of the prescription filling process, including data entry, production, and sales.
  2. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering medication and supplies.
  3. Accurately and efficiently enter client and prescription information and submit insurance claims.
  4. Properly package and label prescriptions.
  5. Complete sales of prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  6. Assist in the shipment or delivery of orders.
  7. Communicate effectively with clients, prescribers, nurses, and other providers.
  8. Maintain client rights and confidentiality at all times.
  9. Provide high-quality customer service and answer pharmacy-related inquiries in person and on the phone.

Minimum Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  • A high school diploma.
  • 1-3 years of pharmacy tech experience, preferably in a retail setting.
  • A certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certified Board and a current certificate.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician Certification and completion of all required continuing education.
  • American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to organize work, pay attention to detail, and work under minimum supervision.
  • Proficiency in mathematics and basic and advanced pharmacy calculations.
  • Essential critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
  • Computer experience sufficient to perform data entry functions.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $60,000 per annum, based on the national average for Clinical Pharmacy Support Specialists in the United States.
