EEG/EMG Neuromonitoring Specialist

As an EEG/EMG Technologist at SSM Health, you will play a critical role in the neuromonitoring process. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing neurosurgery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform intraoperative neuromonitoring to record the function of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to review planned procedures and orders to determine the structures at risk.
- Maintain equipment and ensure patient safety.
- Provide accurate and timely findings, results, and descriptive analyses.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology or completion of a Neurodiagnostic Technology program.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Certification for Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) from the American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET) or Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.) certification.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time, day shift position at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
