Nurse Educator Opportunity in Pediatric Hematology Oncology

About the RoleThis is a Staff position with a Ongoing duration, offering a stable and secure work environment. As a Clinical Educator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational activities and programs for clinical personnel.
Your primary goal will be to facilitate lifelong learning and professional development among staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional patient care. This involves developing onboarding and orientation programs, initial and ongoing competency assessments, and education initiatives based on identified practice gaps.
You will also collaborate with other departments and institutions to promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and research within the clinical setting. If you are passionate about teaching, mentorship, and contributing to the growth of your peers, this role is ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement onboarding and orientation programs for new staff members.
- Create and manage initial and ongoing competency programs to ensure staff members possess the necessary skills.
- Design and deliver education initiatives based on identified practice gaps.
- Collaborate with other departments and institutions to integrate best research evidence into clinical education design.
- Promote and participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research initiatives.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of related clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous teaching experience is highly desirable but not essential.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- TX State licensure in Nursing is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
