Make a Difference in Correctional Healthcare

Wellpath is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality medical care to underserved populations in correctional facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily sick calls, provide emergency care, and coordinate patient transfers
  • Treat and manage non-psychotic behavioral health disorders and provide ongoing care for patients on maintenance doses of non-psychotic medications
  • Participate in Quality Management and Peer Review activities, document findings using the S.O.A.P.E. method, and attend quarterly Quality Management meetings
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Completion of a masters program in nursing (NPs) or an accredited education program for PAs
  • Previous correctional/detention facility experience and minimum two (2) years experience
  • Unrestricted current license, certification or registration in state of practice - must maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration and current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS and PALS (where applicable) certification through AHA
