MRI Scanner Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Scanner Technician to join our team at Regional Medical Imaging, P.C. in Flint, MI. As an MRI Scanner Technician, you will be responsible for conducting MRI procedures, interacting with patients, and ensuring the safety of both patients and equipment.
Job Summary
This is a full-time, hourly/non-exempt position that requires working on weekends, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The schedule includes shifts from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Fridays and 6:00 am to 10:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
About the Role
- You will interview patients to explain MRI procedures, obtain exam history, and verify safety requirements for metal objects and implants.
- You will perform studies following protocols requested by radiologists and referring physicians, gain IV access, or perform injections as needed.
- You will demonstrate competency with RIS and PACS systems.
Requirements
- An Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from a JRCERT accredited college or technical school.
- One year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications and Licenses
You must be ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology with advanced certification in MRI. If not registered in MRI, you must take the ARRT advanced level certification exam within one year of employment. Continuing education in accordance with the ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan is also required. Certification in CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens is necessary.

Work Environment
The work environment is well-lit and comfortable. Working in a high magnetic field area, possible exposure to patients with infectious diseases, and possible exposure to hazardous materials are potential risks. Occasional fluctuation in work schedule to meet patient/department/organizational needs and concentration on details with frequent interruptions/distractions are also part of the job.
Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
