Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Norwalk Memorial Home. As a Caregiver, you will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing resident rooms and beds for admissions or transfers.
- Accompany residents during admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, utilizing the call light system as needed.
- Provide morning and evening care, including bathing, changing linens, and dressing residents, as well as other general care throughout the 24-hour day.
- Record vital signs, weight, height, intake/output, and consumption, and other required documentation as directed.
- Position, lift, turn, and ambulate residents using special equipment as necessary.
- Prepare residents for meals, distribute food trays, water, nourishment, feed or assist residents to and from the dining room, and encourage adequate intake.
- Perform general care activities for residents in precautionary situations and practice universal precautions.
- Encourage restoration of function and prevent resident deterioration to the extent possible.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
