Contract/Travel Occupational Therapist Job in Gulfport, MS

AdeIphi Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist for a contract/travel opportunity in Gulfport, MS.

Job Overview:
  • This 13-week contract position requires an OT with valid and active Physical Therapy State license and CPR/BLS certification.
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, design customized exercise programs, and apply various modalities to ease pain and aid tissue healing. Additionally, they will educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and injury prevention related to body mechanics and ergonomics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough physical assessments and creating individualized treatment plans.
  • Designing and implementing exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Using hands-on techniques for mobility enhancement and pain relief.
  • Applying modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold therapy.
  • Educating patients and families on proper use of assistive devices.
  • Developing pain management strategies and adapting treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and communicating effectively with healthcare team members.
Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have a valid and active Physical Therapy State license and CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross (with AED).

Salary and Benefits:

This contract position offers a competitive salary of $1,677/35-hours (travel rate) or $1,652/35-hours (local rate), plus benefits.
