Job Title: Patient Accounts Representative II

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per annum.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Patient Accounts Representative II to join our team at South East Alaska Regional Health Consortium. This role involves working closely with patients, healthcare providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing queries, reconcile payments, and process incoming mail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Billing and Collections: Validate changes and billing information, identify and analyze billing errors or omissions, and assist with other special projects related to billing/rebill projects.
  • Patient Communication: Provide excellent customer service, answer patient billing questions, and take necessary action to resolve accounts.
  • Payment Reconciliation: Reconcile payments, allocate funds to the appropriate EHR system, and ensure timely posting of transactions.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified CRCR (HFMA-Medical), CRCS (AAHAM-Medical), or CDBS (ADCA-Dental) certification desirable.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in billing, collections, and/or cash posting required.
