About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Stanford University. As a key member of our Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE) division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate employees and students on health and safety best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and university policies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in occupational safety and health, emergency response/management, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and collaboration.
