We are currently seeking a highly qualified Cardiologist to fill a temporary assignment in Shiloh, IL. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience, explore diverse work environments, and control your workload.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiac care to patients in various inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), echocardiograms, and stress tests.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans for various cardiovascular conditions.
- Perform cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures (depending on the cardiologist's subspecialty).
- Educate and counsel patients on heart disease prevention, risk factors, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals (nurses, surgeons, specialists) to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
- Stay current on the latest advancements in cardiology through continuing education.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of cardiology principles and practices, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart disease.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical proficiency in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures (if applicable).
- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patient conditions.
- Time management and organizational skills to manage a patient workload effectively.
Compensation
The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate of $275-$290 per hour, offering a lucrative income opportunity during this 13-week assignment.
