Key Responsibilities- Collects patient data, including vital signs and medical history.
- Assists providers with treatments, examinations, and procedures.
- Collects specimens and performs phlebotomy.
- Administers medications under provider direction.
- Reviews patient records for routine health screenings.
- Ensures exam rooms are stocked and prepared for patient visits.
- Provides patient education and instructions.
- Assists with patient registration, scheduling, and referrals.
- Answers clinic phone and assists with in-basket tasks.
- Medical Assistant certification from a recognized organization.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- At least one year of full-time experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use a computer to document patient information.
