Benefits and Retirement Plan Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits and Retirement Plan Specialist to join our fast-growing team in the greater Houston Area.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing retirement plans, preferably in the energy industry. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required, with a master's degree or relevant professional certification being a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive benefits and retirement plans in accordance with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing plans to ensure they are competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including HR, Finance, and Legal, to align benefits and retirement plans with overall company strategy.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on all matters related to benefits and retirement plans.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in our current plans and propose innovative solutions to enhance their effectiveness.
- Manage relationships with benefits and retirement plan vendors, brokers, and consultants to ensure the best possible service for our employees.
- Create and deliver engaging and informative communication materials to educate employees about their benefits and retirement plans.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing retirement plans, preferably in the energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of retirement plan regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in using HRIS and benefits administration systems.
