Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) Position at E&D Children Center

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) to join our team at E&D Children Center. As a SEIT, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality special education services to preschool-age children.

About the Role
  • Therapy Services: Plan and provide individualized therapy sessions to children aged 3-5 years, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with families and a multi-disciplinary team to develop comprehensive plans and outcomes for each child.
  • Family Support: Educate family members on effective intervention strategies, empowering them to actively participate in their child's development.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to state and city regulations.
  • Evaluations and Reports: Conduct thorough evaluations and write comprehensive reports, meeting district standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification: Hold a certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (Birth-2) or Special Education permanent certification.
  • Bilingual Extension: Possess bilingual skills for working with bilingual cases.
  • Transitional B: Transitional B candidates are now accepted.

Compensation and Benefits:
