Job Summary

This position is part of our Fine Grind facility team in Portland, IN, working on the 2nd Shift (3 pm - 12 am typically). The successful candidate will report to the Leadman and Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work safely, adhering to MSHA and MCC safety policies, and report any safety issues.
  • Ensure the work area is clean, safe, and free of hazardous situations.
  • Conduct bagging and preparation of materials, verifying the final product is not contaminated and free of foreign particles.
  • Communicate and assist customers and/or haulers to meet their needs.
  • Conduct daily documented inspections of equipment, confirming it meets MSHA regulations.
  • Follow MSHA's and the company's procedures and best practices.
  • Direct employees, vendors, and contractors on daily tasks to maintain Safety, Quality, and efficient Productivity.
  • Receive and store parts in proper locations, ensuring packing slips are initialed and submitted in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate with the Quality Assurance department to verify the plant meets quality requirements.
  • Operate various pieces of heavy equipment, perform laborer and cleanup duties, and perform maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • Lift heavy objects (up to 75 lb.), pull or carry objects, walk and stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse conditions.
  • Ability to handle all elements of the weather.
  • Understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Work independently and communicate orally and in writing.
  • Use equipment and tools properly and safely.
  • Meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Valid Driver's License and pass pre-employment drug screening.
