The Receiving Supervisor at Restaurant Depot plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of merchandise through our facilities. Reporting directly to the Assistant Branch Managers and Branch Manager, this individual is responsible for overseeing all activities within the Receiving Department, focusing on incoming and outgoing shipments. Key objectives include verifying item descriptions and counts, accuracy in UPC numbers, and meticulous completion of Manifest/Bill of Lading.
As a key member of our team, the Receiving Supervisor leads by example, providing guidance to power equipment operators involved in loading and unloading product from trailers. This position demands manual labor and attention to detail, making it an excellent opportunity for those who thrive in fast-paced environments.
In addition to their primary responsibilities, the Receiving Supervisor is accountable for:
- Ensuring accuracy when filling out Manifest/Bill of Lading.
- Maintaining IBT Seal Log for both incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Running the list of incoming Purchase Orders (Order Pool) and following up with the Buying or Logistics Department to guarantee timely Purchase Orders.
- Recording and filing all incoming and outgoing Purchase Orders.
- Keeping Goods Received Book (GRB) and any Adjustment Vouchers (AVs) current and accurate.
- Verifying that the Receiving Clerk accurately enters everything received on the same day it was received.
- Maintaining Driver Logs and scheduling deliveries properly.
- Unloading, Verifying, Recording, and Labeling all Cross-Dock Pickups.
This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to adhering to safety policies and HACCP guidelines. As a critical component of our operations, the Receiving Supervisor must be able to work efficiently, provide excellent customer service, and assist in other departments as needed. The ideal candidate should possess:
- A minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional presentation skills to communicate effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and buyers.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and proportions.
- Proficiency in computer systems.
- Possession of effective oral and written communication skills.
- A strong commitment to company values and a customer-oriented mindset.
We offer a competitive salary range from $14.25 to $14.73 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role in our organization.
