About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Radiology Technologist Level II to join our team in Jonesboro, Georgia.

Job Summary

This role performs various standard radiographic procedures efficiently and safely; reviews and transmits films and reports to appropriate physicians. Additionally, it involves reception and clerical duties within the Radiology Department, as well as preparing required departmental reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares patients for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing their needs and providing patient education.
  • Performs radiographic and/or fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
  • Demonstrates skills for IV placement and injection of contrast materials.
  • Operates computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images.
  • Performs quality control measures to ensure optimal quality images.
  • Enters and properly completes all patient information, including exam charges and supplies, into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and/or other KP application.
  • Prepares films for interpretation by the radiologist in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Exhibits flexibility and adaptability to unique department needs and responds accordingly.
  • Communicates abnormal situations to proper sources to facilitate resolution and/or tracking.
  • Actively engages other healthcare providers to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care.
  • Follows department procedures, processes, and policies.
  • Practices safety measures in radiography by adhering to governing regulations.
  • Follows universal precautions, infection control guidelines, and sterile technique.
  • Complies with governing regulations.
  • Stocks and cleans exam rooms/work areas.
  • Takes rotational call for after-hours facilities and is responsible for coverage if unable to take call.
  • May be responsible for clinical instruction of student technologists.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • One (1) year of experience as a Radiological Technologist.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • General knowledge of EH&S, OSHA, DHR, Radiation Safety, and Protection.
  • General knowledge of exam protocols.
  • Basic PC (keyboarding & navigation) skills.
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • Two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is $ $54,000 - $73,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
