Senior Exploration Geoscientist

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Exploration Geoscientist to join our team at Continental Resources. This is an exciting opportunity for a geologist with a strong background in unconventional reservoirs to work on high-impact exploration prospects and asset development.

In this role, you will be responsible for generating new exploration prospects, expanding existing plays, and developing advanced geological concepts. You will also participate in strategic peer review sessions, collaborate with multi-discipline teams, and effectively communicate technical findings to both upper management and peers.

This position requires a deep understanding of advanced techniques, procedures, and criteria used for carrying out geological tasks, as well as extensive experience in applying specialty areas with impact on assets or exploration groups. Key Responsibilities

• Integrate and interpret multiple geologic, petrophysical, and geophysical parameters into a concise geologic model.
• Utilize surface and subsurface geotechnical data to generate geologic models through log correlation, cross-section construction, stratigraphic analysis, basic petrophysical analysis, and basic to advanced mapping techniques.
• Participate in strategic peer review sessions to present and refine interpretations and technical analysis.
• Collaborate with a multi-discipline team of geoscientists, engineers, land, and commercial teams to conduct assessments of strategic opportunities and emerging plays.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience or Earth Sciences from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of recent experience with an active exploration and production company.
• An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Geoscience or Earth Sciences from an accredited university or college.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
