We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Vascular Sonography. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute their expertise and passion for diagnostic imaging to our organization.
About the Role
This position involves performing vascular sonography procedures with precision and accuracy, adhering to the highest standards of quality and patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing patient history and physician's orders, educating patients on procedures and equipment, preparing contrast media and medications as needed, and monitoring patient condition throughout the examination.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals. A strong foundation in ultrasound technology and a commitment to ongoing professional development are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality vascular sonography examinations, using advanced imaging techniques and equipment to produce accurate and reliable results.
- Review patient medical history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective treatment planning.
- Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exam protocols to ensure informed consent and optimal outcomes.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor patient condition during examinations, responding promptly to any changes or concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans, based on imaging results and clinical findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., diagnostic imaging, radiologic sciences) or equivalent experience.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification within 3 months of hire date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull force up to 50 pounds, as required for job duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in vascular imaging, with a strong understanding of relevant anatomy, physiology, and imaging modalities.
Salary Range
$75,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
