About the Role

This is a hybrid position at BBenefits, LLC, where you will work from home and spend three days in the office (77040). As an Administrative HR Specialist, you will assist the Sr. HR Generalist and Benefits/Payroll Representative with complex administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain accurate employee records, including contact information, job classification, pay rates, and organizational structure.
  • Conduct onboarding processes, including background checks, credit checks, pre-employment testing, onboarding documents, and benefit enrollment.
  • Provide new hires with necessary paperwork and details about their new role.
  • Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, such as promotions, demotions, layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits, which includes collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to insurance carriers or brokers.
  • Post job openings, review applicants, and conduct interviews with potential hires.
  • Maintain records of active job openings and received applications, coordinating with managers as needed.
  • Assist Payroll/Benefits manager in collecting, verifying, and entering timesheets into the payroll system.
  • Conduct record audits and mandatory reports, including I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Support 401k administration as needed.
  • Perform monthly audits and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with HR-related vendors to ensure compliance.
  • Complete unemployment claims and hearings through TWC.
  • Ccoordinate with local schools on internship programs and recruiting events.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits laws is a plus.
  • Experience with APS, CNET Technologies, i3screen, SEDNA, Cigna, Newport Retirement, Equitable, DISA, Docebo, Expensify, and AlertMedia is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for meetings and training.
