Job Summary

The City of Wilton Manors, FL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to lead the Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, accounting, and budgeting, with the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to the City Commission and department heads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with City Code and Charter, State Statutes, and all other applicable rules and regulations.
  • Prepare and present the City's annual budget and capital improvement plan to the City Commission.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including quarterly and annual financial statements, and present them to the City Commission.
  • Administer the City's procurement function, including the development of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and direct the Finance Department staff, including the Assistant Finance Director.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to department heads and other officials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in government accounting/government finance.
  • Master's Degree in Accounting or related field or CPA certification preferred.
