We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Board of Directors at Tenants & Neighbors, a dynamic grassroots organization working to preserve affordable housing in New York State.

As a Board member, you will contribute to our mission by participating in bi-monthly meetings, serving on committees, raising funds, and advising our Executive Director on key issues.

Key areas of expertise we are looking for include non-profit governance and management, fundraising, financial administration, PR and marketing, human resources, membership recruitment, and informational technology.

Our Board of Directors includes both elected and appointed members, with elected Directors serving two-year terms and appointed Directors serving one-year terms.

Selection of appointed Directors prioritizes our principles of inclusion, balance, and representation.

Board members can expect to dedicate at least 6-8 hours per month to the organization and are welcome to contribute more.

We are committed to building a strong and unified tenant movement, and we believe that your expertise and passion can help us achieve this goal.
