Job Overview

Penn State Health is seeking a seasoned nursing professional to fill the role of House Supervisor, responsible for overseeing hospital personnel and functions within assigned work units.

About the Role

This leadership position serves as a key resource person in facilitating efficient operational activities across the organization. As a House Supervisor, you will be responsible for exercising delegated administrative responsibility and authority for the supervision of all hospital personnel and functions within the assigned work unit/location for assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate nursing staff assignments, ensuring optimal patient care delivery
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs and concerns
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and quality outcomes
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of employment or a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • At least two years of related experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership capacity
  • BLS certification obtained through Penn State Health or the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience in ED or ICU settings is preferred.
