We are seeking a skilled Senior Design Drafter to join our team at VanderHouwen. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating and developing new product designs, adapting existing product lines to meet customer requirements, and managing projects from concept to installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new product designs, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.
- Work closely with engineering teams to transform rough concepts into detailed, finished designs.
- Manage projects from initial concept through to design, fabrication, and field installation.
- Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software for drafting and design tasks.
- Apply expertise in heavy industry sectors, including oil and gas, forestry, mining, material processing, and construction.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a drafting or design role.
- Proficient in both 2D and 3D CAD design and drafting in programs like AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
- Heavy Industry design experience, including oil and gas, forestry, mining, material processing, and construction.
- Fluent in English and able to communicate clearly.
