Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forest Carbon Program Manager to oversee a portfolio of California forest carbon offset projects under the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Cap-and-Trade Program.

  • Oversight of project timelines, compliance protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration with foresters, landowners, and stakeholders for successful project execution.
  • Supervision and mentorship of Carbon Analysts to ensure project success and growth opportunities.

This role requires a strong background in carbon offset projects, environmental compliance, or forest management, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in forest inventory analysis or management.
  • Experience in carbon project management, verification, or development.
  • Proficiency in ESRI software, relational databases, statistical programs, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with predictive analytical models such as CACTOS, CRYPTOS, FORESEE, FPS, or FVS.
