Job Overview
As a Financial Services Relationship Specialist, you will play a vital role in fostering long-term relationships with members by providing exceptional service and guidance on our products and services.

Job Description:
A key member of our team, the Financial Services Relationship Specialist is responsible for acquiring, expanding, and enriching current and future member relationships. This involves assisting and educating members in opening and managing their accounts and finances, building trust, and cross-selling our products and services to help them achieve financial success. You will provide personalized, professional service to all members, seeking opportunities for additional business while ensuring exceptional quality of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist members with basic requests related to account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
  • Educate members on the features and benefits of our products and services, actively cross-selling and making referrals for additional loan, deposit, and fee income products and services.
  • Establish trust and lasting relationships through engagement, education, open-ended questioning, listening, and a consultative approach.
  • Provide notarial services, including witnessing documents and verifying member identity.
  • Receive direction from managers and exercise judgment within defined policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline by collecting member contact information and scheduling follow-ups.
  • Refer members to financial experts as needed.
  • Diagnose and resolve moderately complex member issues, communicating with other departments for issue resolution.

Requirements:
Education and Experience:
A High School diploma is required; some college experience is preferred. Proven sales skills and 1 year of member service or retail banking experience are preferred, along with cash handling experience. Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations is also desirable. Experience recommending products to improve a member's financial position is preferred.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, and personal accountability.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Reports to work punctually and works all scheduled hours.

Salary Estimate:
$45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience.
