About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society in Prescott Valley. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident-centered care, including daily living assistance, bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing.
  • Assist with basic health care needs, such as vital sign monitoring, and provide psychosocial support to assigned residents.
  • Participate in procedures, such as transferring, repositioning, and walking, using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
  • Document resident interactions, outcomes, and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
