Mental Health Specialist

At Mass General Brigham, we are committed to providing exceptional mental health services to our patients. As a Mental Health Tech, you will play a vital role in our Clinical Evaluation Center, working closely with our team of professionals to provide high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Accurately and timely document patient information, including AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, adhering to professional boundaries.
- Participate in patient rounds and teams, contributing to the development of individualized care plans.
- Identify and address patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques to promote a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Follow established protocols and standards of care to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Prefer two years of college plus one year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Previous experience in direct patient care preferred.
