About the Role
The Global Information Security (GIS) Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise security solutions. This role will assist the Global Information Security Engineering manager in implementing security solutions and driving overall program maturity. The security professional should have a background in multiple areas of security engineering, including Network, Application, Cloud, Mobile, and Endpoint security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise security solutions
- Assist in implementing security solutions and driving overall program maturity
- Proactively contribute to the development of strategic direction, objectives, and key results
- Act as a technical advisor and subject matter expert to internal stakeholders and partners
- Delivery approach includes a successful transition of new or enhanced controls to security operations for maintenance and support
- Drive maturity of security capabilities within enterprise
- Actively collaborate with others on the analysis, requirement development, design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of complex and highly integrated IT security solutions
- Engineer and maintain security compliance policies, controls, and services
- Conduct security assessments, such as development of secure configuration baselines
- Develop and maintain a superior knowledge of the cyber security capabilities of operating systems, networking devices, control systems, and vendor offerings
- Provide 3rd level technical support to our security operations organization for critical incidents
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a security engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering
Preferred Experiences and Skills
- Engineering knowledge of Cloud and Endpoint security tools
- Prompt engineering knowledge for Generative AI services
- Knowledge of one or more industry security frameworks
- Willingness to complete CISSP and/or CCSP certifications within the first 6 months of employment, if not already certified
- Practical experience with DevSecOps tools, including open source
- Cloud foundational security, CSA frameworks, and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS proficiency
- Superior written, presentation, and verbal communication skills, including proficiency with ITIL
- Prior exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology in a work setting
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and team skills
- Practical experience in developing security solution design and driving end-to-end solution delivery
