Fixed Asset Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Irving, Texas. As a key member of our Corporate Administration department, you will be responsible for maintaining fixed asset sub-ledgers, processing transactions, and identifying process improvement opportunities.

• Maintain fixed asset sub-ledgers for a portfolio of locations, including month-end closing responsibilities.
• Process fixed asset transactions in JD Edwards and SAP for asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
• Identify process improvement opportunities as it relates to fixed assets.
• Foster excellent customer relationships with regional operating locations.
• Monitor Construction-In-Progress (CIP) to ensure timely capitalization into asset accounts and prevent out-of-period depreciation.
• Support external/internal audit requests.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience required.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Critical thinking and strong analytical skills.
• Solid Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of IFRS Lease accounting fundamentals and principles is a plus.
• SAP and Microsoft Access are a plus.
