Job Summary:
Gesa Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Administrator to join our team. As a Compliance Administrator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of records management tasks, including researching, analyzing, and processing credit union records. You will maintain digital and paper filing systems in compliance with administrative, legal, and financial requirements, and ensure the timely disposition of records.

About the Role:
The Compliance Administrator will work under the direction of Compliance leadership to establish, implement, and maintain a repository and system for indexing and categorization of forms, documents, and disclosures. You will assist in developing, maintaining, and training team members on credit union retention policies, procedures, retention practices, disclosures, and forms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish and maintain a repository and system for indexing and categorization of forms, documents, and disclosures.
  2. Assist in developing, maintaining, and training team members on credit union retention policies, procedures, retention practices, disclosures, and forms.
  3. Ensure the timely disposition of records.
  4. Create reports, correspondence, and other materials as requested by management.
  5. Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and have a full understanding of the forms, documentation, and disclosures associated with all product offerings, marketing efforts, and promotional offerings.
  6. Assist in tracking of corrective action resulting from audits, exams, internal reviews, risk assessments, and other areas.
  7. Utilize information systems as they relate to the needs, requirements, and issues pertaining to regulatory compliance.
  8. Perform administrative support as necessary for completion of assigned tasks and other job-related duties as assigned by the Regulatory Compliance Manager or VP of Compliance.
  9. Maintain knowledge base of required regulations associated with the required compliance monitoring.
  10. Regularly communicate in a tactful manner with the credit union team members due to follow-up to monitoring compliance tasks.
  11. Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by the Regulatory Compliance Manager and/or VP of Compliance.
  12. Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities.
  13. Participate in special department projects as requested.
  14. Keep Compliance leadership informed of key operating issues affecting areas of responsibility.
  15. May serve as a member of a project team(s) in the capacity of a compliance resource for the implementation of technology, processes, procedures, or the development of training materials and/or act as a compliance resource for the credit union.
  16. Ensure that all work, updates, change requests, and compliance reviews are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
About You:

  4. Proficient in computer applications, reporting, and file/data systems.
  5. Problem-solving skills, process improvement know-how, and ability to project ideas.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Three to five years of experience in the financial industry is preferred.
  3. One to three years of similar or related experience.
  4. Understanding of reporting requirements of regulatory agencies relevant to assigned tasks.
  5. Good communication skills both written and oral. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy to be exercised while giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or dealing with staff and members.
  6. Display values including mutual respect, trust, honesty, and dignity, and acting in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times.
  7. Some travel required to complete credit union training or approved professional training.
