Job Summary:

The Advanced Clinical Speech Language Pathologist role at Grady Health System involves providing expert-level SLP intervention to inpatients and outpatients upon consultation with a physician. The goal is to promote the maximal functional outcome of patients, while demonstrating advanced clinical competency in at least one area of practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, incorporating current research and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on speech-language pathology principles and techniques.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Master's degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program and a Certificate of Clinical Competence. A minimum of one year of clinical experience is required, with preference given to those with teaching hospital experience. Additionally, licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Georgia is mandatory, along with American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
