Sign Language Interpreter

Job Posting: Soliant Education is seeking dedicated Sign Language Interpreters for the upcoming school year. This is an onsite position, working within a school district.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpretation of spoken language into American Sign Language and vice versa for students, teachers, and staff.
- Facilitate communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and their peers, as well as between students and teachers.
- Attend IEP meetings and other relevant school meetings to ensure appropriate support for students.
- Maintain professional relationships with students and staff, ensuring confidentiality and a positive learning environment.
- Adhere to the ethical guidelines and professional standards of the interpreting profession.
Requirements:
- Educational Interpreter I
- Minimum EIPA score of 3.3 or a passing score on a state-level interpreting evaluation.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree.
- An EIPA score of 3.5 required within 3 years of employment.
- Educational Interpreter II
- Minimum AA Degree in Educational Interpreting or a related field from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an educational setting.
- Minimum EIPA score of 3.5.
- Educational Interpreter III
- Minimum EIPA score of 4.0 or national certification.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in education.
- Minimum of an AA degree in interpreting or a related field.
