Job Overview

This Firmware Engineering Manager position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead firmware projects with a focus on quality and performance. You will work directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teams, overseeing the firmware development process from design to implementation, testing, and maintenance.

As a seasoned professional with 5+ years of experience in firmware design and development for embedded platforms or in a similar role, you will leverage your expertise to manage and mentor a team of Firmware Engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee firmware development lifecycle management, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Firmware Engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of firmware projects with a focus on quality and performance.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the firmware engineering team and other departments, translating complex firmware concepts into actionable business strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in firmware design and development for embedded platforms or in a similar role.
  • Significant experience in firmware development with a proven track record of leading firmware projects.
  • Deep understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and hardware interfaces.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and assembly.

The estimated salary for this position is $135,250 - $172,800 per year, depending on location. Additionally, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive.
