Per Diem Sonographer

Advocate Aurora Health seeks a highly skilled Per Diem Sonographer to join our team. This is an ongoing opportunity with flexible scheduling.

• Sonographers in this role will perform comprehensive non-invasive, invasive and vascular procedures to demonstrate OB/GYN anatomy under investigation.
• They will provide physiologic assessment of OB/GYN vasculature and fetal well-being, while also performing sonohysterograms, endometrial biopsies, and chorionic villi sampling as needed.

Responsibilities

1. Ultrasound Procedures: Perform high-quality ultrasound exams for obstetric and gynecological patients, including 2D and 3D imaging, Doppler studies, and other specialized procedures as required.
2. Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care and communication, ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout their exam experience.
3. Documentation: Accurately document patient history, exam findings, and results in a timely and thorough manner.
4. Teamwork: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program with a minimum of 2 years of experience in OB/GYN sonography.
• Certifications: Registered in OB/GYN by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and certified in Nuchal Translucency within 6 months of hire date.
• Licensure: Current CPR certification.
