Nurse Specialist in Adolescent and Child Behavioral Health

Avera Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their dynamic team in the Behavioral Health Adolescence Unit. As a Nurse Specialist in this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young patients with mental health challenges.
Salary:The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, Avera offers a robust sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 and sponsorship opportunities for eligible applicants.
Job Description:In this challenging and rewarding role, you will provide top-notch nursing care to patients in the Adolescent Program and Child Program. The adolescent program is a 40-unit facility, while the child unit is a 14-bed unit. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be part of a structured and age-appropriate therapeutic environment designed to help adolescents and children understand problems, use healthy coping skills, and set and complete goals.
You will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care in an energizing team environment. With opportunities for cross-training and professional growth, this role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about helping patients with conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and addiction or suicidal behavior.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
- Certification in specialty preferred.
