We use only the freshest ingredients available to offer a menu that explores the edge of multi-cultural boundaries, taking the taco to a whole new liberated level. We slow roast our own chicken and corn, use lots of booze in our margaritas, and make everything from scratch, which means our food tastes really awesome.

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated culinary experts who take pride in introducing every Guest to the Velvet Taco vibe. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love tacos, working hard and having fun while doing it, you belong HERE.

• Prepare high-quality food items to order with passionate speed
• Follow recipes and ensure food presentation looks outstanding
• Complete assigned prep lists, portion all products per spec
• Efficiently run your station during shifts, follow all recipes and stock food as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a driven, intense pace with good cleaning habits throughout shifts
• Assist in ensuring deliveries are received and stored in a timely manner
• Label food and ensure proper rotation (FIFO)
• Assist with cleaning smallwares and equipment as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have strong kitchen knowledge, time management skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. You should also be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.

• 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant, scratch kitchen experience a plus
• Food Handlers Certification
• Must be 18 years of age or older
