Job Summary

As a Mental Health Technician I, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care and contributing to a positive, hopeful, and resilient work environment at St. Francis-Emory Healthcare. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to join our team in the Bradley Center-Crisis Stabilization Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of an RN, ensure patient safety and welfare, and implement therapeutic milieu and treatment plans.
  • Serve as a patient observer on a patient care unit to maximize patient safety.
  • Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficiency on the nursing unit.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of collegiate coursework in general psychology, interpersonal communication, abnormal psychology, and/or human growth and development preferred.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Handle with Care Certification or CPI within 90 days of hire are required.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
