Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Admitting Representative to join our team at Confluence Health. As a key member of our patient access team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless and efficient patient registration and admissions processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients in a timely and efficient manner, utilizing multiple communication methods to obtain required admission information.
  • Verify insurance coverage and accurately code patient information for billing purposes.
  • Complete forms, applications, and documents accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Manage daily work queues, self-correct errors, and participate in performance improvement projects.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Escort patients to designated floors and rooms, and receive, document, and return patient valuables.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Extensive computer skills, including Windows navigation, email communication, and password management.
  • Ability to multitask, work accurately, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant certification (MA-R) or medical terminology experience.
  • Medical insurance background or experience in payment collections.
  • Proficient clerical skills and customer service experience.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally charged environment, handling sensitive patient information and interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
