Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital in Hiram, Georgia.

Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will assist in providing safe and effective care to patients by performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong understanding of nuclear medicine principles and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved AMA Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients, or 1 year NM experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with nuclear medicine equipment and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
