About the Role

CCL Label is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the management of assets and implement predictive/preventive/corrective maintenance tasks for plant equipment. The successful candidate will ensure CCL has the best physical resources available to complete our duties according to the budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance.
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary to maintain optimal levels.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure functionality and identify potential issues.
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report on daily activities to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Drive Maintenance and Reliability initiatives focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance to reduce reactive maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance procedures for production equipment to ensure production meets or exceeds budget.
  • Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate OEM equipment assessments and acquisition, and provide project management assistance with execution of equipment improvements.
  • Ensure the maintenance department maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the production team to inform them of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitor compliance.
  • Oversee the fabrication of repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, and placing orders.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Provides maintenance information by answering questions and requests from stakeholders.
  • Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
  • Allocate workload and supervise the janitorial staff for the facility.
  • Perform other duties as required, including coordinating work with outside inspections, providing project management, ensuring safety of personnel, and performing other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years prior experience working as a maintenance manager or in a related role with direct reports.
  • Experience creating and maintaining budgets, maintenance schedules, and reporting.
  • Experience planning maintenance operations.
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite and CMMS) and a solid understanding of data analysis software.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand and walk.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
