Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate DSP Driver to join our team at the Woodward Foundation for the Disabled. As a key member of our residential care team, you will be responsible for providing essential care and support to our members in our group homes and DTA settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Care: Provide for the safety, emotional, and physical needs of all residents, ensuring they are clean, well-groomed, and dressed appropriately for the season and environmental conditions.
  • Driving: Drive vehicles safely and efficiently, completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining a clean driving record.
  • Home Maintenance: Clean the home, including all areas and resident bedrooms, and ensure all required documentation is completed before the end of shift.
  • Company Responsibilities: Be flexible with hours and location, maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, and adhere to all directives and policies handed down by the company.

Requirements:

  • High School or Equivalent
  • Must meet age requirement to be a driver for the organization (21yrs minimal)
  • Must have a clean driving record and be approved
  • Flexible hours to work times as well as work locations to assist with staff coverage if needed
  • Reliable transportation to work at any location

  • Ability to positively interact with residents, their families, and administrative staff
  • Recognize and be responsive to the needs of the residents
  • Ability to maintain proprietary and resident information confidentially
  • Ability to maintain a calm, non-defensive, supportive attitude during crisis or potential crisis situation
  • Proficient verbal and written communication in English and ability to do so with tact
